Job Description

Mackenzie Stuart is working in close partnership with a multinational organisation with businesses in project management, engineering, manufacturing and construction for the Oil & Gas, Refining, Renewable Energy, Power, Utilities and Petrochemical Industries.
Our client is seeking a COO based in Bangkok, Thailand to lead and hold overall managerial responsibility for an operating unit of the organisation of which the main activity is the operation of a fully integrated Ethanol production plant in Thailand.
This senior leadership position will be accountable for the operations, quality, HSE and financial performance of the plant, with a direct reporting line into the CEO of the group holding company.
To be considered for the role you must meet the following requirements:
*Located in Thailand or able and willing to relocate to Bangkok, Thailand.
*Educated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similarly related.
*Minimum of 15 years experience focused on process plants with extensive operations leadership experience.
*Have extensive technical knowledge and experience of process plants, preferably with experience in an Ethanol production plant environment however other experience will be considered.
*Previous regional experience in Asia would be considered an advantage, specifically South East Asia would be beneficial.
*Knowledge and understanding of the international business environment and able to manage key stakeholders.
*Must be proficient in English and have strong communication skills.
Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
*Overall leadership responsibility and accountability for the day to day operations, quality, HSE, financial performance and profitability of the Ethanol process plant.
*Ensure that the plant operates efficiently and has high productivity, implementing operational efficiency programs and initiatives to ensure optimum performance and minimum downtime.
*Responsible for reporting and reviewing operational and financial performance of the process plant with the CEO on a monthly basis.
*Coordinate and maintain relationships with local authorities and any other relevant parties on all matters that the company is involved.
*Demonstrate effective leadership and ensure that employees and contractors maintain company values and ethics.
*Managing a team of direct reports and overall responsibility for circa 200 employees within the plant. Trains and ensures the professional development of mid-level management and more junior employees.
