Head of Bank Reconciliation
[Description] Primary Responsibilities:
Reconciles various general ledger and corporate bank accounts on a monthly basis:
Reconciles in a timely manner, prior to the following month end.
Unreconciled items are investigated and resolved in a timely manner on an ongoing basis, subject to supervisory approval.
Forwards completed reconciliations for approval in accordance with departmental procedures.
Balances financial activity between core systems, checks payment systems and various transmissions to the corporate banks..
Identifies issues and works with Supervisor to resolve.
Prepares monthly journal entries for account reconciliation:
Prepares adjustments and corrections determined through the previous month account reconciliation process.
Submit to Treasury Supervisor with valid back-up for review and approval prior to month end close completion.
Completes correspondence and/or contacts customers as necessary for additional information required for reconciliation process.
Ability to multitask in fast paced environment
Well organized with ability to adapt to changing business environment; exhibits attention to details and time management skills
Proficiency in English language skills, both verbal and written.
Working knowledge of personal computer and application software such as Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications/Experience:
Identifies issues and problems, identifies key facts, and seeks information to resolve reconciling issues.
Minimum of 2 years previous experience in a Bank Reconciliation role.
